Oculus Rift is Shipping
The Oculus Rift officially started shipping this week. The Oculus Store already features a whopping 30 games including EVE: Valkyrie and Lucky's Tale. Oculus Video also launched this week, allowing Facebook 360 videos to be streamed in addition to videos from Vimeo and Twitch livestreams. What else? Oculus announced they are planning to host full-length feature films on Oculus Video. While research suggests that longer pieces of content might not be ideal, our recent consumer research showed that there is interest in viewing movies in VR.

Google Announces 'VR View' and Native iOS SDK for Cardboard
Nathan Martz, Product Manager at Google working with their low-key VR team, recently shared a blog post about the release of "VR View" which will allow for a few lines of code to turn a native app into an interactive VR experience, or an iframe code can be embedded on the web for a desktop VR View experience. This open-sourced code should enable a larger scale of people to be able to create VR experiences compatible for Cardboard viewers - or at least allow more people to host 360 degree photos and videos on their own websites.
