BUDGETING SEMINAR

Has starting or returning to Uni been a bit of a shock when it comes to getting to grips with your finances and managing to make ends meet whilst studying and coping with Auckland prices? Our annual budgeting seminar will be held in the Student Lounge from 1pm-2pm on Wednesday 20th April. Everyone who registers here will get a FREE LUNCH and the chance to win lucky door PRIZES during the session. Come and find out how to take control and survive!

CLASS ADVOCATE T-SHIRTS

Our new stock of Class Advocate t-shirts has arrived and as the flyer says you now have the chance to look awesome any day of the week! These are of course only available to our Class Advocates, but if you think you'd look good in one, check out signing up as a Class Advocate for at least one of your papers. T-shirts are only $20 each and are available from the ASA reception desk in the student lounge.

ADVOCACY EXTENSION TRAINING

For Class Advocates who have already attended our basic training, we are now offering a series of Advocacy Extension Skills Workshops during 2016. The first 3 topics will be:
  1. Advanced Advocacy
  2. Communication Skills
  3. De-escalation of Conflict/Violence

CLUB POSTER COMPETITION

Time is running out for clubs to enter our poster competition. A great way to advertise your club and win some money to go in your account. Remember we are offering $50 for the best portrait poster and $50 for the best landscape poster. The posters will go on the club boards around campus and on TV screens at the Recreation Centre and in the Student Lounge. Send your entries to Marusa Pogacnik by 13th April.

CLUB AFFILIATION REMINDER

Well done to the club committees who have applied to re-affiliate their clubs to the ASA.  You should be hearing from us next week! If your club needs any help to complete this process, get in touch with Marusa Pogacnik for assistance. Remember that until your affiliation is renewed, you will not have access to all of the wonderful services we provide including access to grants. For more information on affiliation click here

ASA operates the car pool scheme that allows you to park in the car park in front of the Atrium building. You WILL SAVE both TIME & MONEY if you don't have to drive round and round the carparks looking for a space! Find out more & sign up here.
Hope everyone had a good break!
