I believe in fighting for a good quality education and a safe learning for students. I have been a class advocate for three papers so far and have been in academia for over four years now. Together with my administrative work experience, I believe I have a good knowledge of the issues effecting you as a student and have what it takes to resolve these Issues. I want to implement and trial a number of new strategies to increase voluntary student participation in ASA sponsored activities and improve the communication channels with the class advocates. I intend to establish a VP system of work assignments to be done on a weekly basis that will best support the president. My main goal is ensure that ASA remains the voice for students and continues to provide a great service to the students. Now for the equally interesting part, Socializing. We all (perhaps…) want to meet new people and make new friends. And I believe we could improve on how frequently we organize and advertise such events.

As an outgoing and confident person I believe that becoming the next Social Vice-president will allow me to create a new relationship between the Massey student body and the ASA in 2016. I am particularly passionate about social life on campus as I know being at university is not just about study and good grades, but also having the best few years of your life. As a first year Massey student I can relate easily to how crazy university life is and I believe that my fresh ideas, approachable and outgoing personality will be valuable assets in the role of Social Vice-President. I have strong negotiation skills and I aim to bring value to every opportunity I am given. I am an energetic, ambitious, reliable, and goal oriented person who is highly driven to achieve in all aspects of my life. I hope everyone will get to know me over the course of the year and feel free to approach me with any issues in order to make university life at Massey in 2016 better than ever before.

Hi, I am running for ASA President for next year and would appreciate your vote. The ASA has been great this year and it is my goal to make it even better. I believe that my extensive team management experience as well as 3 years’ experience as a class advocate has allowed me to understand and fulfil the requirements for this position.

I aim to create an event filled year, boosting student culture and presence to deliver unforgettable memories. I aim to do this through the collaboration of groups, clubs and the integration of the various areas of student life. I plan to build a supporting, fun filled environment within the context of university life allowing students the opportunity to experience the best at Massey!

ASA has offered a wide range of support and services, to enhance the campus life experience at Massey University that makes learning worthwhile. I want to be a part of such a great team, working for the common goal to service the needs of the students in my final year at Massey in 2016.
I am an international student from the beautiful country Malaysia, a multiracial community.

I am currently enrolled as a second year Bachelor of Accountancy student. I am passionate and excited about the wellbeing of the students, seeing students acquiring and building knowledge and self-confidence in their learning. With that, I volunteered to be the class representatives for 2 accounting papers in Semester 2.

On top of that, it thrills me to see students engage and be interactive in their learning through social activities and also thrive together for academic excellence. I have previously secured 2 internships where I have undergone substantial training in leadership, management and communication skills, which are valuable qualities that I can commit for the General Executive position at ASA. With a humble heart, I look forward to serve you for another better year at Massey.

My name is Rebecca, I’m studying Speech and Language Therapy and I’m in my second year, almost at the halfway mark. I want to become part of the ASA to contribute to the Massey student community and promote and improve the services that are provided on campus. A major concern for me is to improve things on the Oteha Rohe campus, for example, the cleanliness of some of the facilities. I would also like to contribute to making the campus and events on campus more sustainable. Feel free to talk to me about anything that you think is important when you see me around the library (my second home) or email me on rebecca.str@hotmail.com.

Vote for me! I will help to bring you the fun and party to Albany campus. I want to see the ASA to be recognised more, run more events and have more social outings for students to get involved in. I want students to have an awesome social life here at Massey and I want what’s best for all students! In the ASA I will make the most out of what we have here at beautiful Massy. If you vote for me, I’ll bring the awesome to ASA

Hi, everyone my name is Angela and I would like to share with you why l am running for a position as an executive member in the Albany Student Association and how l can contribute to this group by better serving the students of this university.

New Zealand as a country have a lot of different cultures and we can see this within our university campus. We have many students who come from different countries and different cultures and therefore, l think there should be a member in this group that can understand the different cultures.

I am one of the possibly main cultures that is present in the university as I was born in China and now living and studying here. I understand the conflicts and struggles within multiculturalism.

In addition, l am studying Education and Sociology as my degree and my academic knowledge of the whole New Zealand background has helped me gain an increasing understanding of how to assist people from different backgrounds and cultures.

I am willing to share my own experiences by serving students and working with a group of awesome people in this group!
