2016 Executive Committee

Nomination Period for the 2016 ASA Executive Committee has been extended but you need to get into gear now

We are looking for students who will be continuing their study at Albany in 2016 and who are ready to step up and Pay it Forward and who are committed to putting their fellow Albany students FIRST.  You may already be a class advocate or on a club committee or you might just be a student wanting to get involved.  If you have the best interests of your fellow students at heart, then check out all the details on the ASA website   Make sure your nomination is handed in by 6pm on Friday 11th September.

Win a Bouquet of Flowers

Check out the ASA Facebook page Mon-Thurs this week to be into win a bouquet of flowers.....Spring is a time of renewal and growth and what better time for us to give you a boost than as you come in to the final leg of the academic year. You can pay it forward and give the bouquet to a study mate or lecturer or maybe you just deserve a bouquet yourself so give us the whys and wherefores and you could well be in to win.

Come and meet the students who are standing for election to the ASA Executive Committee for 2016.  Hear what they have to say and what they'll do for you and get a free lunch in the process.

Market day on Campus

Wednesday 30th September - call for stall holders
Are you a Massey student or club interested in having a stall on market day? If so please fill out the below form before 25th September to register a spot. Please note that the venue is outside at Student Central and you'll be expected to bring with you everything you need. Click on the photo to go to the Facebook page.

Which clubs have performed best this year? Is there someone in your club who deserves special recognition?

Nominations are now being accepted

You can nominate someone from your club or from another club and you can nominate your club for more than one award.   Details of all the awards can be found on the ASA Website. 


Health and Counselling Survey
How do you think this service is performing?

The Health and Counselling Centre is one of the services provided for by the students' services levy that you pay.  We've designed a very quick survey and we're interested in your feedback which we will use to collectively advocate for improvements.  


Nominations are open 
Which lecturer makes the difference for you?  Maybe you can be the student that makes a difference for them! Every lecturer who is nominated, is recognised by the ASA and is invited to an end of year celebration lunch and awards ceremony.  It is important when you vote that you include some kind words as these go on to the certificate that is presented to the lecturer. Nominate Now!


Registered to Vote?

For students to vote in the ASA Election they must be registered to vote.  You are receiving our email, so YOU are registered already, but please encourage your fellow students to sign up on the ASA website so that they will be able to vote..

As students enrolled at Albany - YOU get a vote on who will represent you on the Students' Association Executive team.  Make sure you read up on the candidates and make your choice.
