Your Path to Unity

Each of us has been on our own journey that has made a stop here at Unity of Fort Collins. For some of us it's been a long stop, while for others it's been brief.

These journeys of ours are a rich part of the tapestry of our community.

On Sunday we'll have an opportunity to share our paths to Unity with each other to see where we've all come from to get here.

The large collection of lessons and experiences we all have had is one of our greatest resources. Let's celebrate it!

Important Announcements
Transition Update ~ May 30, 2019

This Sunday at 11:00am (right after the one service 10:00am) we will have a special membership meeting. Childcare is available. We must have at least 25 folks in attendance to have a quorum, so that we may have the meeting.

At this meeting, you (the Unity congregation) will reach consensus to approve or not approve:

~ Proposed vision, mission, & core value statements

~ Proposed bylaw changes that will determine whether we become members of Unity Worldwide Ministries (UWM)

Please click on this link to see the proposed bylaw changes; some pros and cons of being a UWM member; the proposed vision, mission, and core values statements; emails from UWM; the agenda, etc.

Please click this link to find out how we will use consensus in this meeting.
UNITY ANNUAL YARD SALE

Saturday
June 8th, 2019
8am - 2pm

This Sunday, June 2nd is the day you can begin bringing yard sale
donations to Unity.

Volunteers will be at Unity by 9:30am this Sunday to help unload donations before the service, and again after the meeting. We don't want anyone to have to be unloading donations during the meeting.

The drop-off location will be clearly designated with traffic cones
to the right of the front entrance.

We can also accept donation drop-offs at the church
during Office Hours 8:30am - 11:30am,
June 3rd through June 6th.
And on the day of the sale (June 8th).

Please bring large items the day of the sale only: June 8th

Free up some space in your home, garage and closet by donating stuff - and help raise some funds for our Unity.

We welcome your clean items in good repair: books, household items, small appliances, furniture, toys, games, crafts, seasonal decorations, sports equipment, bikes, lawn and garden items…..

ABSOLUTELY NO
TVs, computers, large appliances or vehicles, please!
And not so many clothes this year please – they don’t move well and we have to haul them off.

Look for more info, signs, assistance unloading, and volunteer sign-up sheets.

Call Leane at 970-412-9359 with questions,
or if you need help getting donations to the church.

THANK YOU!!
Movie Night

Wednesday, June 5th
6:30pm

June's movie is Departures
Rated PG-13

Snacks provided and/or bring a snack to share.

Daigo Kobayashi (Masahiro Motoki) is a devoted cellist in an orchestra that has just been dissolved and now finds himself without a job. Daigo decides to move back to his old hometown with his wife to look for work and start over.

He answers a classified ad entitled “Departures” thinking it is an advertisement for a travel agency only to discover that the job is actually for a “Nokanshi” or “encoffineer,” a funeral professional who prepares deceased bodies for burial and entry into the next life.

While his wife and others despise the job, Daigo takes a certain pride in his work and begins to perfect the art of “Nokanshi,” acting as a gentle gatekeeper between life and death, between the departed and the family of the departed. The film follows his profound and sometimes comical journey with death as he uncovers the wonder, joy and meaning of life and living.
