Here are a few things that caught my attention since my last newsletter:
- Since boasting about my posting streak, I haven’t written anything new on my blog. I’m calling it my spring break.
- It surprised me to learn that David Hockney uses an iPad to make some of his landscape art. Here’s a five-minute interview where he explains how he got into the medium in his late seventies.
- One of the benefits of paying attention to nature is that it “lowers our threshold for finding beauty.” In other words, bird watching is a path to delight and happiness. I learned about this in a free Audubon webinar with John Muir Laws, a leading nature writer and artist I follow.
