Join us for a staged reading of a new adaptation of one of the first and most famous coming-of-age plays ever written. Spring Awakening follows the lives of a group of classmates in their final year of school — and the complicated lessons they learn about sexuality, love, and loss that accompany their transition into adulthood. First written in 1860, and newly adapted, the play continues to offer a searing warning against the danger of censoring knowledge surrounding sexual experiences between youth.

This presentation will mark the culmination of a two-week workshop undergone by a group of award-winning Toronto artists.

Admission is Pay-What-You-Can, with a suggested donation of $15.00. Proceeds from the event will go towards Skylark Children, Youth, and Family Services—an agency in Toronto dedicated to helping youth in need.
