Alumni Newsletter 2018/10

Thank You!

A big thank you to the alumni who joined Waterford students, staff, parents and governors in thanking Shelby Davis for his generous support to the school and the entire UWC movement during his visit to WK on 8th October 2018. It was a great feeling to see alumni interacting with the Davises. To date, 808 Waterford students have participated in the Davis UWC Scholars programme, receiving a scholarship to one of 94 partner universities in the United States.  Currently, there are 111 WK alumni enrolled at US Universities as Davis Scholars. In addition to this, Mr. Davis supports the US National Committee students at all the UWC schools and annually funds two students from each UWC college to attend the Semester-at-Sea programme. Below is a video of Shelby’s speech at WK assembly during his visit.
