Eternal Storms Software Newsletter - Issue #2
Thank you for inviting me into your mailbox, it means a lot to me!

Today, I've got two app-updates for you and a couple of blog posts you might find interesting.

First: App Updates!
Glimpses v2.1 - The Still Motion Video Mac App
Still Motion Videos show photos in rapid succession - usually for the fraction of a second.
Glimpses helps you create those videos with just a few clicks.
Version 2.1 improves its integration with macOS and, adds new Features like Photo-Shuffle, improves performance and fixes some bugs.

For more information, please read this blog post.
A free, 15-day trial is available on the website.
A free update for existing customers, Glimpses can be purchased on the Mac App Store for $19.99.
Yoink v3.2.1 - Improve Drag & Drop on your Mac
By providing a temporary place for your file drags and app-content, Yoink frees up your mouse, letting you navigate more comfortably to the destination of your files.
Yoink v3.2.1 is a maintenance- and bugfix update, improving QuickLook and handling of alias files and more.

A free, 15-day trial is available on the website.
A free update for existing customers, Yoink can be purchased on the Mac App Store for $6.99.
Blog Post: screencapture and the sandbox in macOS Sierra
As soon as the beta version of Apple's new macOS Sierra was released, I received support inquiries regarding my Mac app ScreenFloat: it doesn't take screenshots anymore!
In this blog post, I explore why that is and the options I have for making ScreenFloat work again.

(ScreenFloat lets you create screenshots that are shown on top of all windows, making it easy to keep an eye on stuff relevant to you just then.)
Blog Post: Inactive Checkboxes are Poor UX
I don't like disabled checkboxes in preferences. To enable them and be able to select them, you often have to fiddle around with a set of other preferences - it's just a bad User Experience.
But now I realize, I'm guilty of having a disabled checkbox in Yoink's preferences as well, which is only enabled once a (albeit connected) option is active.
This blog post is about how I addressed the issue (which is fixed in Yoink v3.2.1)
