VA Office Closed | Winter Break
The Department of Visual Art office will be closed from Mon. Dec. 22 - Fri. Jan 3. The office will resume normal hours on Mon. Jan 6.

Art Supply Donations Needed
Please donate your surplus and unused art supplies in the designated bins in the List Art studios, or drop them off in the main office (room 222). These supplies will be used to support the department's VA Resource Supply Cabinet to aid students in need.

Juried Student Exhibition | Submit Work
Now - Sun. Jan 26

Submissions for the 40th Annual Juried Student Exhibition open Monday, November 11 and close on Sunday, January 26. All media encouraged, and all currently enrolled Brown University students eligible. The exhibition will be on view in the Granoff Center for Creative Arts from February 26 until March 20. Submit work online 
here

Yale Norfolk Summer School of Art

The Department of Visual Art is accepting submissions from interested Junior Visual Art Concentrators for the 2020 
Yale Norfolk Summer School of Art. Please complete this form and provide images of your work for consideration. Faculty will review submissions and will nominate two juniors for this opportunity. **Please note: this is a nomination to apply to the program. The Yale Norfolk application committee determines final admittance to the Yale Norfolk Summer School of Art.

Swann Auction Galleries | Department Administrator
New York, NY

Swann Auction Galleries is seeking an Administrator for its African-American Fine Art department. Since its creation in 2006, this department is dedicated to the promotion and sale of fine art by important African-American artists from the 19th century to the contemporary. This is a full-time position, working closely with the director in all department functions, including consignments, catalogue production and auctions. Administrator duties include but are not limited to answering inquiries, working with consignors and buyers, inventory management, exhibition planning, art handling, cataloguing and research. The Administrator also supports staff on Swann auction sale days. More information here.

Visual artists are invited to respond to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to be considered for Metro art opportunities. This periodic call to create a Pool helps keep Metro aware of the current art community and facilitates the process of matching artists with opportunities of varying scope and scale.
