Art Supply Donations Needed
Please donate your surplus and unused art supplies in the designated bins in the List Art studios, or drop them off in the main office (room 222). These supplies will be used to support the department's VA Resource Supply Cabinet to aid students in need.

Our department will continue its work on the Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP) in the 2019-2020 academic year. We are looking for students who are interested in working with Visual Art Faculty and Staff on our DIAP initiatives. This appointment is one-year commitment, and the committee meets at various times throughout the semester. Please self-nominate

Studio Monitor Hours End
Tues. May 7

Studio Monitors Hours/Open Lab Hours will end on Tuesday, May 7 for all studios with the exception of Sculpture, which will end on Wednesday, May 8. All coursework requiring the use of VA studios must be complete by this time.

A Culmination | VA Senior Exhibition

A Culmination is an exhibition of new work by graduating seniors in the Department of Visual Art. The exhibition artists include Lu Adami, Nicole Cochary, Wendy Cohen, and Julia Illana. Closing reception Fri. May 24, 5-7pm. 

Dumpster Days
Wed. May 8 - Fri. May 10

The Department of Visual Art will have a dumpster on the loading dock May 8,9,10 accessible to enrolled VA students. Please take advantage of this and dispose of all large things you don't intend to take with you at the end of the semester.

Equipment Checkout Closes
Fri. May 10

All equipment on loan through the Department of Visual Art must be returned by Friday, May 10 at 3pm. 


Residency | Summer 2019
The San Miguel Art Residency welcomes applications for its one-month program, designed for emerging to mid-career artists of all nationalities to advance their work in an immersive private studio environment while engaging in the vibrant cultural interchange of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and nearby cities. We provide experiences through visits to cultural sites and museums in a range of different cities (including Guanajuato, Mexico City and Teotihuacán) as well as workshops, lectures and artist talks.
