All Equipment Due Back
No later than Fri. May 13th
All equipment on loan through the Department of Visual Art is due back no later than Friday, May 13th. If you finish with your equipment before then, please return it ASAP. Equipment Checkout is open Monday-Friday from 1-3pm.


Studio Clean-out

Below is a list of studio clean-out dates. All personal items and projects need to be removed by these deadlines. Students may not store items in classrooms or studio past this deadline or over the summer. *Honors students have until May 26th to clean out their studios.

  • Sunday, May 8th | Darkroom, Digital Print Lab, and Painting Studio.
  • Sunday, May 15th | Book Arts Studio, Digital Media Lab (room 315), Foundation Studio (room 225 and 325), Printmaking Studio, and Sculpture Studio.

The Departments of History of Art and Architecture (HIAA) and Visual Art (VISA) are hosting a joint Alumni Reception May 27th from 6:00 - 8:00pm. Join us for drinks, light fare and reminiscing on the second floor terrace of the List Art Building.

The RISD Museum partners with the Studio Institute’s Arts Intern Providence Program to offer paid full-time summer internships. This program seeks candidates with demonstrated financial need and encourages applicants from diverse cultural backgrounds. Each intern works closely with a staff mentor on a project relevant to their areas of interest and participates in an education component of the program to learn about other jobs in the field and to complete program assignments. Applications accepted on a rolling basis until April 24. Applicants must complete the eligibility check described on the Arts Intern site prior to submitting an application. Summer 2022 positions are in Graphic Design, Family & Teen Programs, and Social Equity & Inclusion.
