MCAF releases its program !

Montreal, May 2nd - Since 2011, MCAF celebrates comic books and comic arts in general. The unfortunate truth is, very few people know about the careers available in comics.

Sometimes, it’s hard to imagine that around 10 to 20 people have worked on the same project: authors, scriptwriters, colorists, illustrators, publishers, printers, distributors… the comic book assembly-line is a reality and the MCAF mandates to make it more familiar to all.

To underline this theme of Careers in Comic Arts, conferences, workshops, exhibitions, and meet-ups will be organised into subcategories: International Comics, Diversity in Comics, and Comics Tools. In the presence of local and international authors questions such as “how does one become a comic artist?” and important issues surrounding the body, sociology, and industry of comics will be explored.

Moreover, MCAF is proud to announce the participation of Penelope Bagieu, Dame Darcy, Pascal Jousselin,  Siris, Yokoi Sampo, Miki Yamamoto, Edgar Kosma et Pierre Lecrenier at this year's edition.
