Porch Party This Friday, August 3!
Our August Porch Party will be hosted by Diane Givler and Dusty Leypoldt at their 1108 Bryan Street home. Come join your neighbors for conversation and fun from 6-9 PM on Friday, August 3. Bring a drink and/or snack to share, and if you'd like to partake in their swimming pond, wear your swimsuit! We look forward to seeing all who can make it for what is sure to be a great event!
Hosts are set for the remainder of 2018 Porch Party season (April-October), but would you like to host an Porch Party in 2019? Email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, address, and your preferred date, and we'll get you on the calendar!
National Night Out: Tuesday, August 7 at Roy Lynch Park
The Elmwood Park Neighborhood Association invites you to join us for our annual National Night Out celebration on Tuesday, August 7 from 6-8 PM at Roy Lynch Park. We'll provide entertainment, hamburgers, hot dogs, and other refreshments, and the park is equipped with a splash pad and playground for the kids! Please consider bringing a side or dessert item to share.
At our registration table near the front of the park, you may sign up for membership in the neighborhood association and peruse our Elmwood Park Merchandise for purchase. We'll also be collecting nonperishable food items for Harvest Hope Food Bank, as well as school supplies for Logan Elementary (especially needed are art supplies, construction paper, pencils, printer paper, markers, crayons, and bottles of glue).
For each nonperishable food item or school supply you donate or prepared food item you bring to share, we'll give you one raffle ticket (limit 3 per family). Be sure to stick around until 7:30, when we'll give out prizes to the raffle winners! (You must be present to win.)
If you'd like to volunteer to help with any aspect of National Night Out (setup, cleanup, serving food, etc.), please e-mail email@example.com.
