Vasant Panchami has a specific meaning; Vasant means spring, whereas Panchami means the fifth day of the spring.
The day of Vasant Panchami is dedicated to Goddess Saraswati puja. Maha Saraswati represents that aspect of Natural Law which is responsible for wisdom, knowledge, learning, and intelligence, success in education, speech, good memory, right thinking and enlightenment.
This is a very auspicious occasion for enlivening this aspect of Natural Law in our consciousness and in our life and for doing yagyas for the fulfillment of noble intentions. This yagya can be very supportive for people who related to education’s field like students, teachers and consultants and for those who would like to have new realizations on the way of enlightenment or for those who would like to gain greater knowledge, intelligence and better memory.
