  • New*** Gita Chanting Classes on Sunday - March 31st to May 19th at 10:15am Anyone interested in learning authentic pronunciation of Gita verses and tips to help with memorization are welcome to join in.  

  • New*** CMA YSP 2019 (Youth Summer Program)YSP is a youth summer program for Balvihar and non-balvihar students in grades 6-12.

    YSP  2019 dates - Sundays July 14, 21, 28 and August 4 from 10 am - 2 pm

    Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors - Are you looking to make a difference and earn some money this summer? 
    YSP is now accepting applications for coordinator position (number of openings 2)

    Students in grade 10,11 & 12 are encouraged to apply.

    As a YSP coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, preparing and running the program under the guidance and supervision of YSP liaisons. It is a leadership role and will count as a job experience since coordinators will be paid a nominal amount as a token of appreciation for their services. 
    Fill out the attached application form at your earliest!

  • Wednesday Study Groups: The CMA Study Groups continue to meet every Wednesday to review and discuss Vedantic texts under the guidance of Dr. Meena Patel.  The groups will start a new text, Bhaja Govindam, this Wednesday (3/6/2019).   Please do reach out to us at info@chinmayaaustin.org for additional information.  The groups meet at
     
    • North at CMA Sundaram: Wednesday from 11:45 am - 1:00 pm
    • South at South Austin residence: Wednesday from 7:45 pm - 9:00 pm
  • Swaranjali offerings: Want to learn Indian classical  vocal music, instruments or dance?  We have just the class for you.  Chinmaya Swaranjali offers the following classes on Saturdays.  Please do reach out to swaranjali@chinmayaaustin.org for additional information about the classes. 
    • Carnatic Vocal: Manu Narayanan
    • Carnatic Violin: Manu Narayanan
    • Hindustani Classical music: Rituparna Banerjee
    • Veena: Chandana Gadepalli
    • Bharatnatyam: Hema Raja
    • Bhajans: Manu Narayanan  (On Sundays for CMA members, weekdays for CMA and non-CMA members)
     


 
Youth Empowerment Program

 
The Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) - Batch VI is welcoming applications for Summer of 2019. YEP is a two-month camp conducted at Chinmaya Mangalam in Barry, Texas. The camp provides foundational knowledge in Vedanta and Sanskrit and works on self-development. It is conducted under the guidance of Swami Sarveshanandaji, the resident Acharya of Chinmaya Mission Dallas, and other Acharyas of Chinmaya Mission. Applications can be accessed at chykwest.com/yep.

You do not need to be affiliated with Chinmaya Mission in order to participate in the camp so if you have any family or friends that would be interested, please reach out to them as well.

Ages: Recent high school graduates to 25 years old. 
Dates: June 4 - July 27
Cost: $1500 before April 6th (covers food, lodging, and all textbooks).

**Prices will increase to $2000 after April 6th**

"A family that prays together, stays together."  Please come as a family and be part of the various temple activities.  Let the children learn the beautiful ways of offering their prayers and devotion by watching and helping the priest in these activities.
  • Temple Timings:
    • Monday to Sunday: 7:00 am to 12:00 pm & 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm
    • Sunday : Bhagavad Gita discourses in temple during Bala Vihar
  • Temple Weekly Services:
    • Rudrabhishekham: 6:30 pm on Mondays and Pradosha days
    • Shri Krishna Abhishekam: 6:30 pm on Thursdays
    • Devi Meenakshi Abhishekam: 6:30 pm on Fridays
    • Sathyanaraya Puja: Purninma days
    • Morning Puja: 10:00 am daily
    • Evening Puja : 6:30pm daily
  • Temple Support:
    • Would you like to provide dravya for the daily temple puja e.g. milk for the abhishekam, flowers for the deity puja, etc? Now you can bring your offering on the specified day - contact temple@chinmayaaustin.org or reach out to Priest Eswarji at 512-820-3004.
    • Priest services are available at certain temple times only.
    • For special Puja Services contact Pandit Eswarji at 512-820-3004.
