Together, the panellists will explore why and how culture and heritage are important in supporting the economic viability, social cohesion and environmental preservation (sustainability and place distinctiveness) of urban developments, cases drawn from successful developments undertaken by Swire in China and changes during the pandemic of how Chinese audiences perceive cultural heritage.

#ConnectedbyCreativity
CVF is excited to be partnering with the British Council China on #ConnectedByCreativity - an inaugural online festival for cultural and creative exchange between China and the UK. Around 50 cultural institutions from both countries have provided digital content that forms more than 75 individual cultural projects, most of which were created during the pandemic when restrictions were in place and will be shown for the first time in each country respectively in October. The festival celebrates the power of arts and culture in uniting people it will help to increase and strengthen collaboration between artists and cultural institutions from China and the UK as both recover from the impact of the pandemic and it will introduce new work to wider audiences in China and in the UK.
In celebrating and showcasing the rich cultural and creative talents from China and the UK that has been developed since the start of the pandemic, the #ConnectedByCreativity programme covers a wide range of fascinating themes including Gender Equality, Sustainability, Creative Ageing, Inclusion and UK/China Collaboration.
