Summer Newsletter

Kia ora koutou,

Its been a very busy year with lots of great things happening. It has been awesome to be included in many exhibitions over the motu this year. I have also been to start to develop a new body of work coming together in a solo exhibition later next year in Whakatāne. There are always ups and downs that can be challenging sometimes but this also means growth and development of my arts practice. I just want to thank everyone who has supported me over the last years, encouraged me to keep going, joined one (or more) of my workshops, bought my art, came to artist talks, visited one (ore more) of my exhibitions, came to meet me in my studio or sending me lovely feedback. I have met many lovely people, and I would like say how much I appreciated some interesting conversations that inspire me and my work.

Exhibitions

Wellington Regional Arts Review 2022

This bi-annual exhibition showcases selected works from the wider Wellington region. I am very pleased that my work RIFT will be part of this exhibition, opening this weekend at the Upper Hutt Whirinaki Whare Taonga. The show is on until the 26 of February 2023.

Workshops

I have updated my workshops for the summer, check them out here. Some more workshops for 2023 will be added over the next month.
I have been frequently asked to run more workshops using natural fibres and I am currently developing another workshop focussing to create with locally sources plant materials - please hang in a bit for more information or send me a message/email and I will contact you once they are out.
