100 days a journey
It is the third year I have been taking the 100 days challenge and I have used the time this year to develop a new Body of Work to celebrate and commemorate the fall of the Berlin Wall 30 years ago on the 9th of November. This exhibition will showcase not only my work but also the work of all participating artists of the 100 Days a Journey at Tutere Gallery in Waikanae Beach.
Harakeke Wall Installation
Check out a range of harakeke sculptural forms displayed and for sale for the next couple of month's at Absolute Hair in Waikanae.
I have got 2 places left for the harakeke weaving beginners workshop (Saturday 7 of September) and a couple of places for the eco dye workshop in Paraparaumu in October.
Over the last couple of weeks I have worked on a photographic project capturing a range of native seedpods, blown up in scale. These are completed now and available for purchase. More information you find here.
Eco Dye Retreat Summer 2020
This will be an amamzing opportunity to experiment and learn eco dyeing using a variety of mordants on fabrics over a whole weekend at Waihoanga Centre next summer.
I have been very busy this year making, teaching and researching and decided to give the Arts Trail a miss. If you are interested to come up the Ōtaki Gorge and visit me in my studio space you are very welcome to do so. My studio is open by appointment and I am looking forward to meeting you here.
If you are interested in taking a private (one on one or as a group) workshop in my studio or in your own venue you are welcome to contact me. I can customize the workshop to your needs and skill level. Price depends on numbers and type of workshop (scroll down to the end).
Find me at my stall this month at the Otari Pop Up Market in Wellington.
