January News

We can't believe 2019 is already here!

As our coffee family grows and we look to the future, we find we are running out of space! Welcome to the lineup our new coffee roasting machine! With this stylish machine, we will be able to double our capacity and fine tune our roasts, to further emphasize the deliciousness of each coffee. We look forward to expanding our roasting space - keep tuned for an invite to check out the space once it's done!

Carrboro Coffee Collaborates

Only a few more weeks to get your No Quarter Coffee Stout! Our friends at Steel Sting Brewery brew this every year with our cold pressed Guatemala La Providencia coffee from producer Juan Francisco Pira. It's an 8.0% coffee and oatmeal stout that features an intense coffee aroma and flavor, with a finish of semi-sweet cocoa. This batch has an additional infusion of our Ethiopia ARDI for floral and berry notes.

Head to the Steel String Tap Room to give it a try, or grab a six-pack of bottles from Open Eye Cafe or Caffe Driade to take home!

Check out the event here.

Featured Coffee: Finca Tasta

This month's featured coffee is Edith Meza's Finca Tasta!

In 2013, CCR President, Scott Conary, met Edith Meza as a judge for the National Barista Competition in Peru. She shared her coffee, and he was blown away by how clean and fruit forward this natural process coffee from her farm was. Fast forward to this harvest and we were able to work together and offer it to you! A delightful blend of fresh, juicy fruit draws you in to this creamy, spicy, incredibly clean and balanced cup.
