June News

We've got a ton of stuff in the works this month!

Firstly, we’re excited to announce our continued involvement in Nicaragua’s Cup of Excellence program! CCR President Scott spent 3 weeks in Nicarugua for this program guiding the operations and judges. Due to the recent unrest the country is experiencing, it is even more important than ever to continue our support of these coffee producers through the COE Auction, and we’re thrilled to soon offer some of these incredible coffees both by the bag and the cup. You can read more about it on our blog

Secondly, we're excited to announce that our flagship Cafe, Cafe Driade, has been dubbed Best Coffee Shop in Orange/Chatham County! It was nice to see that our sister cafe Open Eye Cafe was also a Runner-Up to this award! A huge thank you to everyone who voted. Be sure to check out all of Driade's summer happenings here

And lastly, we're wrapping up an incredible trip visiting our Direct Relationship farmers in Colombia! You can check out all of the farms, meet the farmers, and follow along with our adventures on our Instagram

Featured Coffee: Finca Un Regalo De Dios

CCR President Scott Conary discovered this coffee during the Cup of Excellence Nicaragua. It is a washed process of the same coffee we offer as a honey process, which gives this a profile of rich chocolate, a hint of cashew and honeycomb sweetness.

This producer and farm also won 1st and 5th place respectively in this year's Cup of Excellence results! Congratulations!
