Gender in Coffee - A Documentary Screening
This Wednesday, we'll be hosting a screening of Gender in Coffee – A Documentary at the CCR training room in the Open Eye building.
The film follows the path of coffee from a smallholder farmer household in Chiapas, Mexico into the roasters and cafes where it is enjoyed. This film provides an intriguing look into this issue that is taking on more and more prominence in the industry, and among consumers, as crucial to supporting coffee farmers and farming in the future.
Coffee farming families around the world face enormous daily challenges that put them, and your delicious cup of coffee, at risk. The Partnership for Gender Equity works to ensure farming is viable for all members of the family – women, men, and youth; on whom the entire industry depends.
Doors open at 6:45 with opening remarks at 7pm. The screening is free, but we're suggesting a donation of $10 to support the Equal Origins initiative of The Partnership for Gender Equity. Seating is limited, so be sure to be sure to reserve your seat below!
See you there!
