CHICAGO –– Woman Made Gallery (WMG) is pleased to present its annual Small Works Members Exhibition, featuring 97 current WMG member artists. 

Beginning on Small Business Saturday and running through the gift giving season, the Small Works Members Exhibition is a treasure trove for collectors, art lovers and gift givers and displays a wide variety of talent across mediums  including painting, mixed media, collage, prints, sculpture, ceramic, and photography. Woman Made Gallery defines small works as under 16 in. in any direction.

Open house events are planned for the opening and closing dates of:
  • Saturday, November 27, 12 - 4 PM CST
  • Saturday, December 18, 12 - 4 PM CST

We are thrilled to offer this annual exhibition opportunity to dues paying member artists. In total, Woman Made Gallery offers membership to artists and arts supporters who play an important role in our arts ecosystem. COVID-10 Update: As of August 20, Woman Made Gallery continues to follow City of Chicago and CDC guidelines as relevant to retail businesses and social events. Per Phase 5, WMG will no longer limit the number of visitors to the gallery. No appointments necessary. Face masks are required for events and gallery hours.  We will continue to keep tabs on public health guidance updates and continue to follow recommendations.

Woman Made Gallery seeks artworks in any medium that explore the concept and techniques of a transfer in new or unique ways.
The juror is interested in work that investigates:
  • Using unconventional materials that push the boundaries of what is typically considered a printmaking matrix.
  • An awareness of the natural world and human body as potential for artmaking.
  • Where the intersection of prescriptive and informal printmaking practices. merge or collide.
  • If quality work is being produced through methods that honor tradition but also bring a contemporary perspective to the definition of the printmaking discipline.
