Hello Families,

It is hard to believe that we are already getting ready for Spring Break! The year has flown by. I know students and staff are looking forward to a week to rejuvenate and spend time with families.

Next week is going to be a fun and exciting week! We have Spirit Week for students and staff plus we’re doing a Food Drive for VEAP. There will be some fun competitions for classrooms to see who can bring in the most food!

Finally, after Spring Break, we will welcome families to the building for our Spring Conferences on April 6-7. Watch for a Conference Sign-up from your child’s teacher next Thursday. Spring Conferences are the last time you can come into the building to hear about how your child is doing this year and how you can support them at home to finish the year strong!

SHPA Breakfast and Lunch:
The April breakfast and lunch menu will open Wednesday, March 15th until Sunday, March 19th. The ordering window will close at 11:59 PM Sunday, March 19th. Please place your orders as soon as possible via OrgsOnline.com, link here. For further information, please visit the “Lunch” page on the school website, link here.

***All orders must be placed and paid for before the ordering window closes or the request will be canceled.

BC Civitas Fair 2023
Our annual community fair, called the Civitas Fair (pronounced kēwēˌtäs), is on Thursday, April 27th from 5pm - 7pm and showcases and celebrates the many facets that make us Seven Hills. We have food and sharing at the Cultural Fair, research and inquiry at the Science Fair, creativity and expression with the schoolwide Art Project, dictation and application with the Latin Bee, as well as Literacy Games and Math Activities. Spirit Week and Food Drive
Spirit Week is next week, March 20th - 24th. The Spirit Week Flyer details the themes for each day. Students and staff will be dressing up each day with a new theme. Classsrooms will also be collecting non-perishable food donations for our local food shelf this week. Please consider sending some with your students. Classrooms will have additional incentives.

This is a great place to find information or answer questions that arise. Our goal is to keep open, consistent and detailed communication with everyone and we update the website information regularly.

• Thank you to Loren Christianson and Kim Rendahl who served as Book Fair Managers for the Richfield Campus, and to Julie Lewis and Erin Mulcahy-Billig who served as Book Fair Managers for the Bloomington Campus. In case you don't know! Book Fair Managers volunteer 6-8 weeks before the actual event to coordinate and manage all of the behind-the-scenes set up and management of the fair at each campus. Kudos to the four of you for making it happen!
   
• Thank you to Mikal Rutten, an SHPA parent, who stepped in on his day off to construct the new bookshelves for the Richfield Campus K-5 library. The shelves were purchased with Scholastic Dollars from the last fair, and -- now that they're securely put together -- our media center and library can showcase additional books and supplies. Thank you! The shelves look great!
