From the Special Education Director

Greetings Seven Hills Families!

I am thrilled to announce we have our final numbers from our fun run last week. Our community raised $66,900! This surpassed our goal of $60,000 and donations came from all over the country. Thank you to all who came to watch our students run and those who were able to make donations. Our elementary students worked hard to hit their lap goals and our middle school students had an amazing time with the color powder being thrown at them. I believe their teachers had a great time throwing the color at them as well! Students who normally might be a little shy were shining at this event.

We are fortunate to have a strong, researched based, intervention program for students who need additional support in reading, math, and behavior. We have recently sent out our survey for students that receive intervention services through our Alternative Delivery of Specialized Intervention Services (ADSIS) program. If you received this survey, please take a few minutes to fill it out and please have your student fill it out as well.
I hope you all enjoy the weather as we joyfully push through the last stretch of the year!
Have a great weekend,

Have a great weekend!
Kate Docken,
Special Education Director

See you on Tuesday!

Parent/Guardian Survey (closes after today)

Hello SHPA Families,

We encourage you to complete the annual SHPA Parent/Guardian Survey with Spanish and English versions linked below. We use the results from this survey to measure our performance and assess the quality of our curriculum, instruction, and programming. Your anonymous, constructive feedback is important for us to understand what is going well and what may need to be improved, both overall and across campuses with respect to our elementary and middle school programs. Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete this survey--we appreciate it and look forward to celebrating our strengths and identifying areas for potential growth!

Hola SHPA Familias,

Spring Music Concert
Thank you for coming out to hear and support our students with their music performances last night. It was such a special event and we couldn't do it without your support at home, the students hard work in school, and the team helping to put on a fantastic show. A special thank you to Ms. Brame for all effort to make sure students can shine. We truly have a concert like no other elementary school in the state! The event was streamed live on our Facebook page this year and we will have an edited link to share in the near future.

2022-2023 Enrollment
As we are eagerly preparing for our 22-23 school year, and as we do at this time every year, we are asking for your assistance.

  • If your SHPA student(s) will continue their educational journey with us for the 2022-2023 school year, there is nothing further for you to doThis does include our current SHPA 5th graders (at both campuses) who will be joining us for 6th grade at the Richfield Campus. All of these returning students automatically have a spot in their forthcoming grade and we look forward to seeing all of you back at SHPA next school year!
  • IF your SHPA student(s) will not be continuing their educational journey with us for the 2022-2023 school year, we will need you to fill out a Student Withdrawal Form HERE. Please return a completed withdrawal form to your respective Enrollment Coordinator no later than Wednesday, May 25, 2021.
    • For grades Kindergarten through Fifth (Richfield and Bloomington):  Ms. Leslie Rimstad at 612-314-7603 or

Nystrom & Associates School-Based Therapy

School-Based therapy is a convenient way to provide mental health therapy to students. It removes barriers such as transportation and scheduling difficulties which often stands in the way of students receiving therapy. It also allows for students to work with therapists directly in the environment in which they often struggle the most; in school. Our therapists can provide individual therapy, assessments and referrals for additional services. In addition, there is the possibility of seeing the child and the family outside of regular school hours.

If you have any questions about School-Based Therapy at Seven Hills Prep Academy, please contact  School counselors: Brittany Keating or Mende Symington at the Richfield Campus or Karissa Larson at the Bloomington Campus.

School Website
Please use our current website to read about many aspects of our school life, including schedules, events, and updates. This is a great place to find information or answer questions that arise. Our goal is to keep open, consistent and detailed communication with everyone and we update the website information regularly.
COVID-19 Response Updates

We have been experiencing a ripple in positive cases recently, so please remember to symptom-screen your child(ren) before school and self-test at home for free if you are experiencing symptoms. For additional COVID-19 information, please continue to visit our COVID-19 webpage where you will find various resources and links including health-screening, testing options, and reduced isolation guidelines under the planning and resources tabs. Thank you for continuing to help keep our students and staff healthy and learning and working in school.
