Twelfth Annual Pumpkinfest, 4th Place between Court and Clinton Streets, Carroll Gardens. Come out for this free annual neighborhood event filled with pumpkin painting, music, food, raffles, and more! (Rain date 10/9/16)
Harvest Festival, 6/15 Green, Park Slope. Enjoy live music, children's activities, a bake sale and more at this free event. 
Brooklyn Youth Classical Showcase, Brooklyn Children's Museum, Crown Heights. This hour-long performance features the Brooklyn Ballet's Youth Ensemble and Company and the Noel Pointer Foundation's Phantazia String Players. Free with museum admission.
Story Time with Author Ed Vere, Book Court, Cobble Hill. Come for a reading and book signing by Ed Vere, author of the picture book Max at Night. 
35th Annual Brooklyn Columbus Parade, Starting on 60th Street and 18th Avenue (Cristoforo Colombo Blvd.) continuing to 84th Street and 18th Avenue, Bensonhurst. If you're eager for a parade this weekend, check out this Brooklyn tradition that begins on Cristoforo Colombo Boulevard.
The Music of Elvis Presley for Kids, Brooklyn Bowl, Williamsburg. The Rock and Roll Playhouse Presents: The Music of Elvis Presley for Kids, an all-ages show for the whole family! 

The Annual Narrows Botanical Harvest Festival, Narrows Botanical Gardens, Bay Ridge. Featuring the annual Canine Costume Contest, Sean Casey Animal Rescue Mobile Adoption Unit, crafters and artisans, and the Great Pumpkin Patch. (Rain date is 10/16/16)
