Tennessee Pay Equality Act Fails in House Subcommittee
The Tennessee Pay Equality Act, championed by AAUW of Tennessee, failed last Wednesday in the House Committee on Consumer and Human Resources with a vote along party lines.

Dia Cirillo, President of AAUW Murfreesboro and Public Policy Chair of AAUW-TN, argued the case for the bill. “Every family is impacted by a pay gap. What family would not welcome the opportunity that the woman in the family is being paid according to her qualifications?”
