Proper nutrition matters at all points in life—especially if you’re thinking about or currently trying to conceive. Dr. Jacobson at LLU prescribes for all his fertility patients a diet rich in veggies, lean protein, nuts, and even ice cream.

Excess weight and obesity interfere with both female and male fertility. The upside? Losing weight to have a child is a pretty good incentive to stick to a diet, and even losing a few pounds can make a difference.
