PRONIA SERVICES FOR SENIORS IN THEIR HOME
As with most industries, consumer driven demand and choice are driving factors in building stronger foundations as well as creating innovation and excellence. As Australians continue to live longer and healthier lives, it is vital that we have individual choice for our care as we age.
The Federal Government’s recent landmark reforms for aged care in the home will have a significant impact on Australian seniors. From 27 of February 2017, seniors will be given the power to choose their aged care provider, and providers will have to compete for business instead of receiving a government allocation of Home Care Packages.
Over the next two months, the Department of Social Services will be sending letters to seniors who currently receive Home Care Packages and to those waiting to be assessed by the My Aged Care gateway. Seniors who already have a Home Care Package with one provider, will be able to transfer their package to their preferred provider, such as PRONIA.
PRONIA from its origins as a vital support system for the first wave of Greek migrants, to building a strong community over 40 years, is now paving the way for a whole new generation to realise their potential. Our comprehensive support services, in-depth cultural knowledge, educational expertise and advocacy is undertaken with the aim of creating a stronger community that enables each and every person to realise and reach their potential.
PRONIA has provided packaged care for more than a decade, and is highly experienced in managing packaged services. PRONIA welcomes these new changes and looks forward to continuing to provide this care with passion and respect.
If you need to discuss about transferring a Home Care Package of a member of your family, or you would like to discuss how to receive a Home Care Package for a loved one, please contact us at PRONIA, 03 9388 9998, firstname.lastname@example.org
