ISEA 2015 Fall Meeting Registration Now Open!
 
The Fall Meeting is ISEA’s largest national meeting. It’s a time for product groups and committees to do the essential work of the association – developing standards, formulating policy positions and planning for the future. It’s also a time for member company representatives to network with peers in the industry.

EHS professionals are inundated with piles of paperwork to document issuance, maintenance and inspections of personal protective equipment (PPE). According to a recent study by 3M, the majority of safety and health professionals still either use pen and paper, word processing or spreadsheets to manually document their safety programs.

OSHA Publishes Two New Fact Sheets on Beryllium
 
OSHA’s data indicate that the highest workplace beryllium exposures are associated with primary beryllium, ceramics, composites, and alloy manufacturing and recycling, or machining and fabrication.
 
OSHA Promises Silica Rule Soon, but Its Future Remains Uncertain
 
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has pledged to release a comprehensive final rule on crystalline silica by the end of the current Administration, in January 2017.

The OSHA Training Center at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District has announced the release of “Fall Protection in Construction,” a 48-page overview of frequently cited OSHA standards in the construction industry, to help workers and employers better understand the requirements of OSHA’s fall protection standards and the reasons behind them.
