Programme announced for Planning for Sustainable Land Use and Transport

The PSLUT stream provides a home for issues at the leading edge of policy development at the interface between land use and transport planning. Its focus is on sustainable solutions to land use and transport problems and how to measure and evaluate their effectiveness and impacts. Join us for this year's programme at ETC 2016, which includes:

  • Equity issues (inclusion and exclusion, fairness in planning, including equity in decision-making)
  • Autonomous vehicles (impact on urban land use and transport)
  • Accessibility measures (what you measure is what you see; using measures for comparison and performance assessment)
  • Land use and transport interaction
  • Transport planning in rural areas
  • Travel behaviour (socio-psychological effects, generational effects, mode shift)
  • Active modes (walking, cycling, public realm)
  • The role of values in transport planning
  • Impact of ICT on transport (ICT enabled transport services, ICT impact on activity patterns, new policy challenges)
  • Data issues (new sources and new uses; innovative ways from data to information)
