Do I really need to bring in my old certificates, I did my assessments with you last time?
Yes, we do not certificate the assessment, we only pass our recommendation to the Certification Body to certificate. Once the paperwork is submitted to the Certification Body we have no further part in producing your certificate. Your ACS certificate is your only proof that you are competent to work on gas installations. Please also remember to sign the certificate once you have received it, it's not valid otherwise!
I can't find my old certificates, what do I need to do?
If you can not find your old certificate you will need to contact the Certification Body who certified the assessment (not centre) for a duplicate. There will be a charge for this of around £30, so ensure you keep your initial one safe.
Can I do the assessments and bring my certificate in later?
No, in order to prove that you need the pre-requisites for assessment we must see the original certificate. For re-assessment this is proof that you have previously undertaken the assessment, and for extension of scope this proves that you have the necessary core (and/or other pre-requisites).
Does the photograph need to meet any requirements?
Yes, all photographs for assessments must be passport size and quality. More information on this can be found on the gov.uk website
