We are pleased to share plans for rowing programs at Mic Mac AAC for Summer 2020!
COVID-19 safety precautions have changed the way the club can be accessed and deliver programs. Volunteers from the Mic Mac AAC Rowing Steering Committee and Mic Mac AAC Board have been working with Row Nova Scotia (RNS) and Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) to ensure that any activity offered by the club is compliant with current restrictions and best practices.
Given the rapidly changing environment, this newsletter will outline plans for the summer only. If things continue to go well, details on fall programs will be released in August.

Summer Program Highlights:
  • Thorough site access, social distancing, cleaning/disinfecting, and logging procedures have been developed, and will be shared with those who register for summer programs
  • Only those with confirmed registration should attend the session. Private boat owners must also sign-up for their sessions even when they are using their own boat to ensure that maximum group size restrictions are not exceeded.
The programs described in this release for are aligned with RCA restrictions as of July 9, 2020:
  • Programming for experienced rowers in singles, double sculls, and pairs (2X and 2-)
  • As of Monday, July 20, programming for individuals new to rowing will be sanctioned for activity that is restricted to single sculls (1X) and double sculls (2X) - which must include one experienced rower from the same household.
The club is excited to begin offering Learn to Row programs for both Juniors and Adults!
