July Meeting

Quick reminder: we will be holding our Membership Meeting tonight, July 7th, 7:30 p.m. at the Young's, 1216 Clay Street. This meeting was added to our schedule because the membership made clear the gap between May and September was too long with only 6 meetings a year, so please plan to attend if you are in town and available.
Business meetings are held the first Tuesday of every ODD numbered month.

City Compliance Walk Through

As mentioned at our May meeting, the city will be doing a walk through of our neighborhood on July 15th. Our DHHS President has assigned people to join them for this tour, but if you have specific concerns, such as a pothole or other crumbling infrastructure, please send an email to L Robert Halpin. If you are interested, this walk through will be taped and should be available on the city's "Lynchburg TV" web site in the Community Code Compliance Team section, http://www.lynchburgva.gov/community-code-compliance-team

HPC Openings

After many years of dedicated service, Diamond Hill's own Jeff Schneider has turned in his resignation from the City's Historic Preservation Commission (HPC). This means there will be two openings soon. If you are interested in applying for one of these position, please send an email to DiamondHill_news@yahoo.com and we will send you back the form. You can learn more about the HPC on their portion of the City's Web Site, http://www.lynchburgva.gov/historic-preservation-commission-bc (if you're curious, you can also watch previous meetings at http://www.lynchburgva.gov/historic-preservation-commission-meetings).
Thank you for bearing with us as we move into this new electronic form. You can find our events on the web site and on facebook and you can submit articles, events and ideas by emailing diamondhill_news@yahoo.com.
