Hello all,
On Wednesday, May 25 at 7:00 p.m., we will meet to discuss Kazuo Ishiguro's dystopian novel Klara and the Sun. With the increasing role of artificial intelligence, Ishiguro raises some provocative questions about the role of technology in our future. Should you wish to read further about artificial intelligence or robotics, I am listing three websites. The first is from the Alan Turing Institute on Artificial Intelligence. Alan Turing, you will remember, crafted the enigma machine which broke the Nazi’s code during WWII. The second provides examples of research in robotics from Carnegie Mellon University. The third is an interview with Ishiguro.

Looking forward to seeing you!
