Pacific NW Concours d'Elegance Rolls-Royce Class Entrant
1936 Rolls-Royce Phantom III Sports Four-Seater with Coachwork by Thrupp & Maberly

This car was commissioned by Maharaja Nawab Muhammad Hamidullah Khan of India, who received a fantastic variation on the open touring Phantom with complementary-colored pontoon fenders, a pop-out tool tray in the rumble-seat position, fold-down windscreen and a disappearing top. Completed in April 1937, the Rolls was shipped to Nawab, who retained possession until January 1940.  The car came to the United States in 1963, after being purchased by American twin brothers completing their first assignment with the Peace Corps.

Having only five owners since new, the car’s most extensive restoration was completed in 2010 and it debuted in stunning fashion at the annual RROC National Meet held in Toronto, Canada, earning First-in-Class and the Most Popular Car Award, including a perfect coachwork score. Accepted at Pebble Beach, the Phantom III was presented in August 2012 and drove away with second in the Maharaja Rolls-Royce class. While at the Radnor Hunt Concours d'Elegance a month later the car won three separate awards, First-in-Class, the People's Choice award and the Timeless Elegance award. The Best of Britain award followed at the 2013 Elegance at Hershey, and an appearance at the 2014 La Jolla Concours d'Elegance netted the Philip Wichard Memorial Award for excellence in design.
Opening September 14
The graceful curves of the Bugatti Type 57, the opulence and power of the Mercedes Benz 500K, the celebrated racing focus of the Ferrari 250 GTO or the Shelby Daytona Coupe – these are not just cars, they are milestones of ingenuity, engineering and beauty.

That these and other important automobiles survive to be viewed and enjoyed is the work of a dedicated group of collectors whose passion knows no bounds. This September, ACM will celebrate the contributions of Stephen R. Plaster, another of those who can rightfully be called, "Master Collector."

Owner of Evergreen Historic Automobiles, Stephen's passion for cars began in high school with his father Robert W. Plaster. After building a spectacular collection of Ford, Chrysler and GM cars, they set their sights on acquiring a larger variety of brands representing the history of the American automobile. Today, Mr. Plaster's collection boasts a total of over 200 different brands making it on of the most diverse collections in the world.

A selection of cars from Stephen Plaster's collection will be on display at ACM in the Master Collector exhibit so be sure to visit the Museum and see them for yourself.

An estate plan is the process of arranging for the disposal of an estate and preparing for the unexpected. Your estate plan gives you control and peace of mind that your assets are going to be passed down as you intended. Without proper planning, state laws dictate what will happen to your personal assets regardless of what you intended to leave to a spouse, child, family member or charity. A well thought out estate plan can reduce additional taxes and maximize the overall impact of your charitable gift to further the mission of LeMay - America’s Car Museum.
