Renowned car collector Peter Gleeson has been named the 2016 Master Collector by ACM, which will feature his collection at the Museum throughout the next year.
Gleeson is a well-known member of the Seattle automotive community and an avid BMW road car and motorcycle collector. His 1973 BMW 3.0 CSL Batmobile was recently the runner-up in the “100 Years of BMW” class at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Click here to meet the Master Collectors.

Back by popular demand, Doug McDonnell will discuss the art of automotive “brightwork” such as chrome designs, emblems, hood ornaments and other elegant exterior decorations.
ACM’s 1957 Chevrolet Nomad and 1966 Ford Mustang from The Drive Home will in attendance and you are invited to bring your vintage vehicle to join us at the Shell station at 12653 Ambaum Blvd SW in Burien, WA! ACM and the North American International Auto Show have announced that Boston will be the starting point of “The Drive Home II: The Heritage Run” – an 11-day, 2,150 mile winter road rally, from December 28 to January 7, concluding at the opening of the North American International Auto Show.
The Drive Home II will feature ACM’s 1957 Chevrolet Nomad, 1961 Chrysler 300G and 1966 Ford Mustang, all of which completed the first “The Drive Home” in early 2016, from the Museum to Detroit.
Enthusiasts and car clubs can join TDH II’s cars and coffee events, happy hours and get-togethers in cities along the tour, including Boston, New York, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis and four Michigan cities: Traverse City, Lansing, Birmingham and a big celebration in Detroit.

This 1969 MG C was acquired by the donor’s father, Frank Travis in 1994 who enjoyed driving and showing the car with MG club events. Frank maintained the car in perfect working order. The car is painted in its original color, Tartan Red. Click here to read more about the 1969 MG C Roadster.
