All Post 6 membership - “Veterans Strengthening America”
Welcome home to all the new Post 6 members! We have been deemed “The most welcoming post” In NC. Thank you to all the members for electing us to represent your Board of Directors. We have been fulfilling responsibilities before July 13th and we are busy working on Post 6 future endeavors. Our Legion College attendance was huge and we await photographs from the department on that event. I am especially excited to serve as your Commander, I am 100% for the veterans. Anyone visiting the Durham, VA is encouraged to email me if you would like to visit with me @ ambitioussoldier2007@gmail.com. I would like to stress the importance of an active membership to promote all post events. An active membership is necessary within Post 6 to include the Auxiliary, Legion Riders, future “Sons of the American Legion”, future “DAV”, and the future “Cruisers”. Together we can build a strong professional presence in the Orange County community. I am confident we possess the necessary skills to accommodate all members with resources to satisfy any veterans need. Sundays 7am-9am will become the Commander’s workout and professional development time, I encourage all members to attend. Time is of the essence and our team is ready to step up to the plate. Thank you for your continuous support!
Additionally, In accordance with our Constitution and By-Laws, we will be having a special PEC meeting at the post on the 23rd from 5-6:45PM as part of our standing up the new Leadership team. It is as always, open to general membership attendance.
EVENTS PLANNING NOTE: Jo Ellen Munsee would like to have a second meeting at 6pm on Tuesday July 27th for anyone interested in supporting our Weddings and Events scheduled. The meeting is to review the responsibilities of the person working the day/night of the event. It will include what and when things need to be completed, where to find the things they need, how to turn on and off the fans and exterior lights and much more.
