Time to get geared up for #MEABikeWeek 2021
 
Book into one of the free, one-hour sessions with our fantastic Sports Development Team, in partnership with Madigan Cycling Club, Carrickfergus and Ballymena Road Club.
The sessions will take place at Ballymena Showgrounds, Carrickfergus Amphitheatre Hockey Pitch and Larne Town Park.
All children will receive a special sporty goodie bag and helmets are required.

Throughout 2021, Council is hosting a programme of events under the NI 100 umbrella to celebrate 100 years since the formation of Northern Ireland.
These events, exhibitions and community initiatives are all aimed at showcasing and championing culture, heritage, education, history, and future prosperity throughout the Mid and East Antrim Borough. New Funding This Week 🆕

 
 
 

Education Authority Northern Ireland (EANI): Summer Programme Fund


EANI’s 4 new summer funding schemes - “Summer Jam”, “Summer Boost”, “Access for All” and “Camp Equipment”.  Ranging from up to £2500 to £60,000.  NB All 4 grant schemes are closing on 21st May 2021.

 

Community Foundation for NI: Micro Community Investment Fund 


With support from Bank of Ireland UK, Community Giving Fund, the Micro Community Investment Fund will provide up to £2,000 of funding for grassroots organisations making the lives of others in their communities better, by improving their financial, physical, and mental well being through new or existing community initiatives.

 

Charles Hayward Foundation


Providing both Main Grants (up to £25,000 a year for 1-3 years) and Small Grants (up to £7000) for registered charities only.  Main grants cover Social & Criminal Justice, Heritage & Conservation and Overseas work.  Small grants cover Social & Criminal Justice, Heritage & Conservation and Older People.

 

Leeds Building Society Charitable Foundation


Leeds Building Society Charitable Foundation makes donations of £250 to £1000 to UK registered charities towards practical items that directly support those in need including those with disabilities, affected by homelessness, or with serious health issues.
 

The Henry Smith Charity - Christian Projects Grants


Provides grants to support projects that explicitly promote the Christian faith in the UK. They value projects that set out to nurture and grow people’s journey in Christian faith and grow churches, and only support work that comes from a Church of England context, or that is fully ecumenical. Grant size £10k plus for up to 3 years.

 

Versus Arthritis:  Let’s Move Together Fund


A £100,000 fund to help reduce the negative impact of COVID-19 and the widening of the inequalities in sport and physical activity for people with musculoskeletal conditions, including arthritis, across Wales, Scotland and NI.  Grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 are being offered.
 
 
 

Upcoming Deadlines 📅

 

The Pink Ribbon Foundation Grants (Deadline for Applications, 28 May 2021)


The Pink Ribbon Foundation provides grants of up to £5000 for practical projects and initiatives, which aim to help registered charities to deliver good physical and mental health to individuals with, and recovering from breast cancer.  They expect projects that receive funding to be delivered within 12 to 18 months.

 

Solace Women's Aid: Empowering Women Fund (Round 1 Application Deadline, 5pm, 28 May 2021)


Part of the Labyrinth Project, (a Tampon Tax funded grant scheme) led by Solace Women’s Aid. Aims to help women get to an empowered position through the provision of holistic wide-ranging support that is needs-led, placing women at the centre of their own interventions. Seed funding available from £500 to £1,000, small grants from £1,000 to £5,000 and large grants from £5,000 to £25,000.

 

The Magdalen Hospital Trust (June Meeting Deadline, 31st May) 


Grants to promote the welfare of young people (of both genders), under 25 who suffer from various effects of social deprivation, abuse, mental and physical handicap, inadequate housing, lack of education or training, and the problems derived from unemployment and broken families. Grants are normally within the range £500-£2,000 and are usually one-off and project-based.

 

Arnold Clark Community Fund (Final Deadline for Applications, 31st May)


A fund currently open to all UK registered charities and local community groups who need financial assistance due to the coronavirus pandemic.  Requests can be made for £100 - £1000.

 

Raskob Foundation


A Catholic Family Foundation in the USA that makes grants to projects associated with the Catholic Church both in the US and internationally.  Has a particular interest in projects in which self-help and local support are demonstrated.  Need and the good to be accomplished are prime considerations.  Grants tend to be for between $5,000 and $15,000.
