To celebrate Men's Health Week (14th - 21st June) we are holding some free online 'Mood Matters' sessions for men!
The sessions are taking place over zoom on Weds 16th June.
They will explore issues related to men's mental health including how to manage feelings of stress and anxiety 🧠
There are two sessions at the following times:
10.30am - 12.30pm
6.30pm - 8.30pm

Applications for Free School Meals/School Uniform/Physical Education Clothing Allowance can now be made online for School Year 2021/22. All parents and guardians, including new applicants will need to apply online. You STILL need to apply if you have done so in previous years

New JobStart opportunities at Disability Action
 

Disability Action is delighted to offer two opportunities under the JobStart Scheme funded by the Department for Communities. We are looking for two enthusiastic individuals to join our team:
  1. Digital Resources Assistant - to help us to develop online digital / multimedia resources for participants with disabilities, who we are supporting to progress towards, move into and sustain paid employment.  
  2. IT Support Engineer - to assist in providing 2nd/3rd line support for all aspects of our IT systems across the organisation.
These vacancies are JobStart opportunities and are ring fenced for disabled applicants only. Candidates must be unemployed 16-24 year olds and must be directed to their work coach in their jobs and benefits offices. Applicants do not have to be on benefits to apply.

New Funding This Week 🆕

 
 
 

DfC – Small Capital Grants Scheme 2020/21


A £950,000 Fund is available for partnerships of grassroots voluntary and community organisations across Northern Ireland to purchase items of equipment that will enhance the activities and services they provide to the local community. Applications must include a minimum of 2 organisations.

Poundland Foundation: Kits-for-Kids


Grants of up to £750 are available to local children’s sports clubs or organisations working to improve children’s fitness and health across the UK. The ‘Kit for Kids’ scheme will award 250 grants to provide equipment and kit to help children get active again after the Coronavirus pandemic.

 

Art Fund: Reimagine grants


Funding is available to a range of UK arts organisations for projects to transform their activities and build expertise, capacity and connections within and beyond the arts sector. Museums, galleries, historic houses, arts-focussed archives, libraries and festivals will be eligible to apply for support of between £5,000 and £50,000.

 

Hope for Youth NI


Hope for Youth NI provide grants of up to £5000 across NI for projects providing opportunities for young people aged 11-18 to come together from different cultural, ethnic or religious communities to work together on a creative, practical or outdoors project.

PRSF: The Open Fund for Organisations - closing 14 June at 6pm


Offers grants of up to £10,000 to support new music projects led by promoters, talent development organisations, venues, festivals, curators and large performance groups (i,e. 12 + performers).

 

Virgin Media O2 Together Fund - closing 14 June at midnight


Local charities have until 14 June to apply for one of 500 grants to support environmental and community belonging projects that will inspire people across the UK to get together and create positive change as the nation emerges from the pandemic.

UK Community Renewal Fund - closing date 18 June at 12noon


Organisations from all sectors across the UK can submit funding bids locally to benefit a range of projects, eg building skills, supporting businesses and enhancing communities.
