Monday Funday!

Hi <<First Name>>!
Are you ready for a productive and fun week?
I hope this will help.

In this week's video, I'm sharing one of my favorite tricks, the use of metaphors.

Comparisions, similies, metaphors all help learners use their existing knowledge to efficiently learn something new. Metaphors can add intrigue while reducing cognitive load.

This video gave me a chance to talk about my beloved food metaphors for blended learning, compare Storyline to PowerPoint on steroids, and even talk about Die Hard a little bit.
I hope you enjoy this video or this approach as much as I've been enjoying the spring feeling here in Louisville. Our COVID cases are dropping, regular life is resuming, and the streets are lined with beautiful flowering trees.

The KY Derby is just around the corner and we're in the wonderful few weeks a year where we're in the sweet spot between no jackets and no mosquitos.  Hope you enjoy this week no matter where you are.

Attitude is a choice. Hope your Monday is a Funday!

Use metaphors to say goodbye to overloading learners with information.
