Monday Funday!

I hope you're ready for a productive and satisfying work week.  In this week's video I'm sharing a behind-the-scenes look at how I add stories to the ethics training that I'm working on.

By using the CCAF model, I'm able to provide context and choices, then give the learners the ability to choose their own adventure. The meat of the lesson comes from the final feedback phase.

This is a technique that can quickly spin out of control and seem too hard to implement, but if you stick with the limitations of the Articulate Rise tool, you can really make an impact without making a lot of work.
Learn how easy it can be to add a story.

Weekly Pep Talk

Last week I shared that even though we are all ready to move on from the stress of COVID, life had other plans. My son has made a full recovery and we all are done with quarantine. We all wore masks indoors unless we were asleep and luckily nobody else caught it. Isn't that great? It tells me this thing is beatable.

If you're struggling with your health or caught up in the ripple effects of this nasty pandemic. If you're having issues with mental health, please know you're not alone. I'm an eLearning professional, not a mental health expert, but in my struggle the last two years I find the greatest comfort in finding ways to connect with others, giving back to my community, and making time (even small amounts of time) to take care of myself.

We're all running a marathon we didn't sign up or train for. Please pace yourself. Know that if you're looking for beauty and joy, it's out in the world waiting to be discovered. If you're looking for tension and conflict, it's waiting there too.

I try to find ways to make Monday a Funday because a winning attitude and a smile are the right kind of contagious. Hope you can spread some joy this week, too.

Have a great week!
Karl
