A CAREER IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Starts at the Kahnawake Regional Adult Education Center and ends at Champlain College Saint-Lambert

The Aboriginal population is the fastest growing population in Canada.  This means, there will be a need for day care workers.  That is where you come in!  This program will give you the skills you need to work with young children, in your community, or anywhere in the province.  It will also incorporate a holistic approach to early childhood education.

Get the courses you need to go to college right in Kahnawake.  This new program is designed for students who wish to work with young children or who want to open their own daycare center.  The program includes a First Nations cultural component and is designed for students over 18  years of age from First Nations communities.

The program will also cover opportunities for entrepreneurship to help you address the lack of day care spaces in your community.
