Hi Everyone,

It has been quite some time since the last newsletter, you will easily understand that COVID-19 is to blame ;)

In brief, from mid-march Agnese Pinto became the ad-interim MCHub Team leader (as I had to jump into a new role within MSF Norway). From this 1st of September, it is now Mansoor Ali who will be the new MCHub team leader. Please, join me in Welcoming Mansoor in this role.

And of course, please, join me in thanking, acknowledging, clapping the amazing job done by Agnese since mid-march! Agnese continues to be part of the MCHub, focusing on the intersectional pool of mentors for communication profiles.

As most of you, we have been working pretty hard to adjust to the new reality of a Covid-19 pandemic. It pushed us to explore new solutions in order to stay relevant and keep delivering.

We designed and delivered our first online workshop to train mentors in July 2020. The evaluation showed that the learning outcomes set for the in person version were met by the online participants too. This made us comfortable in continuing training mentors online, at least for the remainder of the current year.

Should you be interested in becoming a mentor, please get in touch with the Mentoring Programme Manager of your OC.

During the start of the pandemic, various people approached us to see if we intended to provide extra support for staff facing Covid-19-related challenges. After consulting with our partners and stakeholders, we launched a fast track coaching programme targeting directly staff impacted by the pandemic. See below the numbers after about 3 months.
You may have seen the invite already: we will be hosting a webinar to present the results of the Team Coaching evaluation on September 14th at 14:00 CET. Sign-in here to watch live, and if you can't make it but are interested, sign-in anyway to receive the recording.

For other activities of the Hub, you can regularly check the calendar on our website.

PODCAST

Torrey is a coach and an aid worker running the company Aid for Aid Workers, working with leadership in the humanitarian sector. In one recent episode from her podcast channel, she's invited Henry Zinglersen (with whom we collaborate) to talk about cultural biases in leadership roles. We hope you enjoy it.
