KAREN OLSEN-DUNN

PFF's Karen Olsen-Dunn incorporates digital imagery into her large abstract paintings, her traditional etchings, and her monotypes to achieve unusual effects. She teaches image transfer at her studio in San Francisco at the Pacific Felt Factory.

At her next class, you can learn how to make the transfer medium, apply to surfaces, and properly transfer images. Karen also covers applying a second layer of images over the first layer, and drying and varnishing the transferred images.

LIANA STEINMETZ
Come make a set of colorful landscape paintings with Liana Steinmetz! In this fun workshop, Liana will show you how to use tissue paper and acrylic paint to create a set of small landscape paintings you can frame and hang in your home. They will represent your connection to a special place in nature.

Instruction will focus on color theory, design, composition choices, media technique and how to incorporate your experience of the land into the painting. Bring photos to reference and Liana will provide the rest of the materials.

Surabhi Saraf will be performing at MAKE IT SO: SOEX Annual Benefit Auction at Minnesota Street Project. MAKE IT SO is a celebration of the Southern Exposure community's capacity to imagine better futures and envision art beyond the threshold of the unknown.

The great hall of Minnesota Street Project will be imbued with a utopian sci-fi aesthetic as well as a spirit of solidarity and hope. Join us for performances, installations, and more than 125 works of contemporary art from emerging and internationally recognized artists.
