The minutes of the previous meeting had been circulated and agreed.
Martin to deliver a signed copy of David Piper’s book and a magazine to Dave Bennett, who is in hospital.
Membership Secretary’s Report: (Jane) 74 members including 1 family membership.
Secretary’s Report: Jane was unable to attend the British Cycling meeting –David P, Paul and James went. It was dominated by BMX and youth racing interests. David brought up the issue of ‘take the line’ cycling. Julia Klinger-Moore proposed a zoom meeting. Melinda will contact Julia, we are particularly interested in any ride leader training they could offer – and any financial support.
Treasurer’s Report: Year to date income £1740.40, expenditure £728.41
Current account £1025.02, deposit account £1000.36
Racing Secretary’s Report: There are only a few Time Trials left this season. The 50 mile TT was cancelled, so it’s unlikely we will be able to award the Best All Round cup.
Club Kit: Melinda is working with Jon at Santini to establish time scales for an order. Maybe send a what’s app message round to see if there’s interest in bib longs?
Website and Instagram: Martin to contact Mark H to make sure he can come to the next meeting.
Any Other Business: James reported that it is very expensive to book an entire Youth Hostel for the projected trip. We could go mid-week, or rent rooms.
So far, seven people have expressed an interest in the Brittany trip. Chris reported that in the past the club has gone out for an extended weekend over the late May bank holiday.
Ride Hub - It was noted that club and intermediate rides should have the distance and proposed speed listed. Leisure rides will always wait for the slowest rider.
