TRURO CYCLING CLUB MEETING MINUTES 13th DECEMBER 2022

Minutes of the previous meeting have been agreed and circulated.
Matters arising: Joy Mansbridge is happy for us to raise money for another charity and is thankful for all that the club has done in Bob’s memory. Our club entry for next year’s Cornish cup has been paid.
Membership: We are now up to 81 members.
Secretary’s Report: The next British Cycling online volunteer induction session will be on 18th January. The registration link is: https://forms.office.com/r/6Gpb13UkHx The next BC ride leader training is at Tavistock on 15th April and costs £150 per person. Melinda attended a BC ride leader training recently and said it was really aimed at leading beginners’ rides.
Treasurer’s Report: Income year to date is £1678.38, which includes the closing amount of our Paypal account of £88.38. Expenditure year to date £224.37. We have £703.24 in the current account and £1001.53 in deposit account. Paul has drafted a standing order form for membership subs (to be put on our website as a pdf) – noted that bank transfers are still preferred.
Racing Secretary’s Report: James is planning an open time trial on the Ladock Valley course – provisional date is 23rd July. We will need volunteers to marshal. He would also like to put on a hill climb at Cardrew, possibly late September or 22nd October.
Kit Update: All the kit ordered this time has been collected. Martin to deliver the kit he collected from Alex to Jane, so that all our stock is in one place. Jane to circulate information on what’s available to members.
Website/image update: Melinda to do a full audit of the website and send amendments to Mark. Melinda will contact Emily about Instagram.
Any Other Business: A TCC lending library of cycling books has been set up, and is on the ride hub.
Brittany Trip – eleven people have now expressed their interest. 25th – 29th May. Chris will book accommodation in central Morlaix with space for 14 people, which has self-catering facilities and bike store. To avoid ‘package holiday’ insurance issues, ferry bookings to be shared between 3 or 4 people.
Lime House Yoga studio has offered to put on a cycle specific stretches session for us, with coffee and cake for £10 per person. Melinda to plan rides to this. Provisional date 26th February.
