Annual General Meeting

How lovely that so many of us were able to meet up in person at the Annual General Meeting. We tried to keep things brief, so that there was time for prize giving and for David Piper’s talk on his round the world cycling, which was an absolute treat.

Click on the link below to read a full report on the new Truro Cycling Club website, along with a list of prize winners, and more on David's amazing journey.

Time Trials

James has been pleased to report that racing is on the up.  We have had members taking part in 10 and 25 mile time trials, hill climbs, triathlons and cyclocross.  What do we want as a club?  Criterions?  Audaxes?  More training nights?  He’s always open to suggestions.  There are lots of 10 mile time trials on the Ladock valley course coming up.

The Carnon Classic will be on 28th May, the ice cream van will be there, and we’re hoping for lots of TCC riders again. There was a great turnout of TCC riders last year.

This year's National 25 Mile TT Championships is being organised, jointly, by Tavistock Wheelers and Exeter Wheelers on 11th and 12th June at Uffculme, near Cullompton. You don't need to be an elite TT rider to enter, so why not give it a go? Apart from individual awards, there is also a team award in each event, made to the fastest three eligible riders from the same club whose aggregate individual time is faster than that of any other club team. It would be really good to see Truro represented at national level. The events for women and juniors are on Saturday 11th June and the event for men is on Sunday 12th June. It costs £30 to enter and entries close on Tuesday 17th May, so enter here ASAP:
