Apologies:  Rich Chart, Mark Hilton, Maria Curtin
Minutes of the previous meeting approved.
Matters Arising:  Melinda has audited the website and sent a list of amendments to Mark.  She will contact him as changes have not yet appeared on the website.  Brittany trip – Ferries and accommodation have been booked.  2 spaces available.  Yoga Event was very well received, thanks to Melinda for arranging this.  It has been suggested that we should try to have more converging rides for example for a rounders game and/or beach.  Kit – note that we have quite a lot of women’s jerseys in stock.
AGM:  Provisional date 11th April* – James to chair, Melinda to confirm with the golf club and arrange pasties.  Any ideas for a speaker or film?  Include a tribute to Dave Bennett and possibly a quiz.  Committee to decide on most improved rider and meritorious ride awards.  Discussion on filling committee roles for next year and approaching suitable committee members especially a new chair.
Treasurer’s Report:  Paul presented the accounts to 31st December which show a surplus of £873.56.  Stock (kit and bidons) valued at £1251.87.  Stock to be brought to AGM for sale.  Current account £742.79, deposit account £1002.97.
Secretary’s Report:  British Cycling will be piloting incentives for clubs which promote BC membership.  Jane to feedback that we would consider ‘money can’t buy’ events (eg visit from GB coach or athlete) as a reward.  Sport England have launched a small grants programme.
Membership Secretary’s Report:  82 members.  One member has renewed for 2023/24.  We have had a number of enquiries about easier rides for new or returning cyclists.  At the moment we are not offering super easy rides.
Racing Secretary’s Report:  Time Trial season has started.  Goonhilly TT (first Cornish Cup race) in 2 week’s time.  James to liaise with Chris about putting time trials on the rides hub.  Anthony Green (PZ Wheelers) is helping James with planning for our TT on 23rd July.
Any Other Business:  Charity Ride – maybe late September or October?  James to ask Anthony Green about using Eventbrite.  James is considering offering 1-2 hour structured training rides and will check insurance cover with British Cycling.
Next Club Meeting – Monday 13th March at 7pm at the William IV.  Graham to chair.
