Matters Arising:  No follow up on Autumn YHA trip.
Membership Report:  Currently 80 members.
Secretary’s Report:  Penzance Wheelers are organising the Cornish Cup series for 2023.  For members of affiliated Cornish based cycling clubs - it will be a season long competition with the emphasis on it being a team event - with racers gaining points over selected races based on their positions within each race. There will be a special prize for the winning team/club, along with individual awards.  Points will also be gained by volunteering at events.  Agreed that Truro Cycling Club will affiliate (£30).  Jane to contact James about setting a date to host a time trial next year.
British Cycling are offering quarterly online induction sessions for club volunteers.  The first of these will be 19th October at 7.30.  They are open to existing club committee members as well as potential volunteers.  The registration link is
Treasurer’s Report:  Current Account balance £809.  Deposit Account £1000.  Noted that members of the club can set up a standing order for membership subs.  Paul will create a form for this.
Kit Update:  The latest kit order is due in around 28th October.  It will be delivered to Paul.  Noted that there is still a shirt and bidon at Clive Mitchell’s.  Martin to contact Alex to see what stock is at his office.  It worked well when everything was there.  Club may need to get a ‘sum up’ gadget for payments.
Website Update:  It would be good to have some new images.  Mark to present some to a club meeting for approval.  There do not seem to be many new images on Instagram.  Mark to get admin rights and can then put photos on.  It may be worth starting a what’sapp group for photos?  Members to be reminded to #trurocycling on social media.
Any Other Business:  Suggestion to hold a charity ride in memory of Dave Bennett to raise money for his two nominated charities.  This would need to be organised!
Brittany Trip:  To date around 10 people have expressed an interest, but it’s proving tricky to get a date suitable for all of them.  To be put in next newsletter, with a cut off of date of mid-November for response.
Cycle Books Library:  David Piper is compiling a list of cycling related books and Chris is designing a database on the Rides Hub.  This is a work in progress as they work out a method for borrowing the books.
Social Events:  Graham to organise a Christmas Jingle ride.  Martin to lead a short social pub ride on 8th November.
Next Club Meeting  Tuesday 13th December.
